Biologist and studying mutations in Genotypes?

. The effects of a mutation are not always visible. How might a biologist determine whether a mutation has occurred, and if so, how would they be able to tell what type of mutation it is? Think of the tools they may use to study an individual’s genotype. Name two major types of mutations they may come across. What do they have in common? How are they different? Give an example of each.
