When Israel turned over the Gaza Strip to Palestine, did Hamas return rocket fire as their thanks?

In general the Muslim world will never accept the existence of Israel, even if they gave them every concession. For example, if Israel gave back the Golan Heights to Syria in exchange for "peace", they would simply use that as a launching site to attack Israel. They will not rest until they either repent of their hatred of Israel or they destroy Israel. Jerusalem is the capitol of Israel.
