Should i get fake "uggs"?

okay, so here's the thing. i'm going shopping in the US in about three or so weeks, and i was thinking of getting my uggs there. the reason i don't want to get them in canada is because they cost waaaay too much here. so right now, my mom is making me wear boots to school since it's starting to get colder, and the only ones i have are from last year. they're not that bad, but i was thinking, what if i get some cheap ugg-lookalikes for now, and then get the actual ones later? i'd get a different color, so then i'd have two. so my question is, should i just stick with the boots i have now and buy uggs when i go to the us, or buy airwalk "uggs" from payless for 35$ and then buy actual uggs in the us? oh and the boots i have right now are the brand antidote, but i can't seem to find them anywhere online.
