I'm buying a new Dell Latitude laptop and want to know if I should get XP or Vista?

I will be transferring files between this laptop and an ABS desktop computer I have (don't know if this is an issue or not). Other than that, I can print from my desktop if necessary. I'm leaning towards going with Vista but am a little wary. What do people think? What things should I consider?
