Fake nail issue, cont.?

I just asked the fake nail issue, and I'd like to include that I am a woman on a very fixed income, and if I could have went to the nail salon I would have, that's why I was wondering if anyone knew of an at home way to take care of it. I really don't have the extra cash to have a professional take care of it, so if I can't fix it myself it'll have to stay on by itself, so if anyone has any suggestions, please help!!
