Weird facial expressions during anxiety?
i have the same problem with not being able to control my facial expressions. i think part of the problem is focusing so much on yourself and worrying about how you appear to other people, how they perceive you, etc. the other part of the problem could be that you clench your jaw muscles in reaction to the anxiety; this causes a feeling of tightness in the face. the next time you're around people and start feeling nervous, notice how your body reacts, the sensations you feel. for example, your shoulders/neck/face might feel tense. when this happens to me i try to relax my face by breathing deep and not clenching my jaw. i've also read up on how to give yourself a facial mage, which is helpful for tense muscles. exercising and supplements may help, too. overall i think it's more of a confidence issue though, and this is something i am still struggling with myself. hope this helps and good luck!
